Business Profile

The Coachman Hotel isn’t what it used to be.

The Coachman Hotel
You can stay at The Coachman Hotel in one of the eleven modern rooms, which are spacious and have been treated to some inspired contemporary design. There is something trendy yet unfussy and elegant about the design at The Coachman Hotel, and this carries into every part of the building.

Head to the restaurant for some of the region’s best dining, in an ambiance which suggests style for a new generation of savvy foodies. There’s a great menu, and you’ll be able to pick just the wine from a list populated with good New World offerings. If a good chilled beer is more your speed, then sip it at the welcoming bar, or perhaps a good single-malt whisky from one of Scotland’s famous or even lesser know distilleries.

Yes, The Coachman Hotel is popular with locals looking for good food and a relaxed vibe, but also for those passing through and wanting a one-stop haven which meets the needs and demands of the 21st century traveller. It’s also a great spot for weddings. The hotel has an experienced functions team on hand to see to the details of most kinds of event. From small, intimate gatherings to larger parties, The Coachman Hotel has the staff, experience and facilities to make it happen, and make it happen well.

The conference facilities are ideal for many types of occasion. Up to a 160 delegates or guests can be contained in the main venue, and, of course, all those meals, snacks and fine beverages will be catered straight from the restaurant’s kitchen and bar.

"Fabulous Food"

"My friend and I visited the restaurant for lunch and we were not disappointed. They offer a good variety on their menu, something for everyone and very reasonably priced. They also have an ongoing special just now where two people can have two courses for a grand total of £12.99, and if you want to add a third course the total will be £16.50. This deal has it's own menu, again with a great variety covering all food tastes. Hardly going to break the bank. The quality of the food was excellent, very well presented and plenty of it. As a wee treat to finish I had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, all I can say is that it was absolute heaven. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and can state it won't be long before I go back."

"Good sleep and good food"

"I have been staying here on and off through work for a number of years, its a great little hotel and staff are always friendly. The restaurant food is always great and the portions and choice is really good. The rooms are clean and tidy, the showers have excellent pressure and are hot. I recommend if your needing somewhere near to Glasgow but don't want to stay in Glasgow centre. Enjoy"

"Great breakfast and cheerful service!"

"We were in Scotland to visit friends and were delighted with the service at The Coachman Hotel. We arrived early and the front deskperson was very kind and arranged our room 2 hours ahead of check in time. All the staff at the hotel had friendly smiles each day and greetings. The full breakfast, that came with the price of the room, was very generous and delicious! On Friday and Saturday night the lounge gets a little loud, but overall it was worth it! The room was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Sunday Breakfast"

"Dropped in for breakfast one Sunday with our teenage son. Full Scottish all round, of course. Food ok, though I found the black pudding a bit dry, suspect it had been sat for a while and not cooked to order."

"Very good"

"We stayed in a double room on a Sunday night. Paid £35 for B&B. The room was clean and modern but bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. All staff were helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant."

"Great food"

"We went here for ab evening meal. The food was excellent and usually always is here. It has a special offer on Monday and Tuesday for 2 people to dine and its fantastic value. Cannot fault the food. What does let it down is the service, it took 30 minutes for us to get our dinner served. Not acceptable seeing as other people were arriving and leaving having had dinner in the same time we had to wait. I will return but must say this was very disappointing."
